The insanity of religious beliefs

If someone were to state to you that their imaginary friend talks to them and tells them what to do & who to hate, you would agree that they have a mental-illness and need help. If they substitute the word "God" for the phrase "imaginary friend", it is socially acceptable and considered sane.
